This unique coffee maker was designed by architect Pino Spagnolo at his design studio Pino Spagnolo Design Snc in Turin, Italy. It was created by Frederico Guarneri based on a Spanish design at the Biesse Group Italia in 1994. The Victoria and Albert Museum in London permanently exhibits the coffee pot in its collection along with thirteen sheets of design drawings and two wooden models. The coffee maker was made with the aluminum kettle, while the upper part is made of transparent plastic (Perspex or Plexiglas). The handle was also made of sturdy black plastic. The state of conservation is excellent, it has never been used. Only some traces of oxidation of the aluminum under the base of the coffee pot should be noted.
