It is an unusual travel version with an integral alcohol burner built in to the base for the ultimate portability, no stove required. It features a two screen coffee basket, a swinging arch screw clamp lid, a’Y’ shaped spout tip diverter that can be unscrewed for single cup use, and the aforementioned alcohol burner with wick and screw on cap. The original lid gasket was badly deteriorated so it was replaced with a new white Bialetti replacement gasket. This Stella was made by Officine Metallurgiche Sgarbi, Chiozzi & Co in Ferrara, Italy. And is fully signed on the base and the lid knob. It is in good vintage condition. The chrome is in generally good shape with a shiny finish. There are a few shallow dents on the exterior of the tank (photo 11). The alcohol burner cap has a few fine stress cracks (also photo 11). The interior components look pretty good, they show signs of age and use but no notable damage. The interior of the water tank is in good shape with no corrosion or crust. The cap screws down as designed. The pictures are the best indicator as to condition, please use the zoom feature and check them out. It’s about 8″ tall and about 3″ in diameter at the base.
